Hydro One seeks approval from the Ontario Energy Board to build the Durham Kawartha Power Line
The new line is expected to support growth, reliability and local priorities in central and eastern Ontario TORONTO, June 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Today, Hydro One Networks Inc. (Hydro One) announced it has filed a leave-to-construct application with the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to seek approval to construct the Durham Kawartha Power Line. The new approximately 55-kilometre double-circuit, 230-kilovolt transmission line will be built between Clarington Transformer Station (TS) in the Municipality of Clarington, and Dobbin TS in Peterborough County.
