Eni S.p.A. is an energy company primarily focused on the exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas. The company conducts its diverse operations through several distinct segments: Exploration & Production; Global Gas & LNG Portfolio; Refining & Marketing and Chemicals; Plenitude and Power; and Corporate and Other activities. The Refining & Marketing and Chemicals segment is responsible for the processing, provision, distribution, and sale of various fuels and chemical products. Within the Plenitude and Power umbrella, the "Eni gas e luce, Power & Renewables" segment handles the retail supply of gas, electricity, and related services, as well as the generation and wholesale of power from both thermoelectric and renewable facilities. As of December 31, 2021, Eni reported net proven reserves amounting to 6,628 million barrels of oil equivalent and possessed an installed operational capacity of 4.5 gigawatts. Established in 1953, the company maintains its principal office in Rome, Italy.
