This segment boasts an international footprint, serving locations across 39 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and overseas territories such as Europe, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Djibouti. The company's Retail segment oversees a portfolio of 145 corporate-owned grocery stores and 36 integrated fuel centers. These retail outlets operate under several recognized banners, including Family Fare, Martin's Super Markets, D&W Fresh Market, VG's Grocery, and Dan's Supermarket. In addition, SpartanNash Company develops and markets its own private label product lines, most notably under the "Our Family" brand name. Founded in 1917, the company initially traded as Spartan Stores, Inc. before rebranding to SpartanNash Company in November 2013. Its corporate headquarters are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
