The segment's infrastructure includes trucks, trailers, railcars, terminals, and tankage with a substantial 4.2 million barrels of storage capacity spread across various sites along the Gulf Coast. It also owns four onshore crude oil pipeline systems, collectively stretching about 450 miles across Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. Additionally, this segment operates four crude oil rail unloading facilities, located in Baton Rouge and Raceland, Louisiana; Walnut Hill, Florida; and Natchez, Mississippi. The Marine Transportation segment handles the waterborne transport of petroleum and crude oil throughout North America. It commands a fleet of 91 barges, offering a combined transportation capacity of 3.2 million barrels, supported by 42 push/tow boats. Furthermore, Genesis Energy also produces natural soda ash.
