Headquartered in Mexico City, Mexico, Vista Energy, S.A.B. de C.V., an entity established in 2017, concentrates on the exploration and production of oil and natural gas throughout Latin America through its various subsidiaries. A significant portion of its holdings, approximately 183,100 acres, is located in Vaca Muerta, complemented by other operational producing assets in Argentina and Mexico. As of December 31, 2021, the company's proved reserves amounted to 181.6 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE). The firm, initially known as Vista Oil & Gas, S.A.B. de C.V., adopted its current name, Vista Energy, S.A.B. de C.V., in April 2022.
